This Deliveral is from a local junkyard. The interesting thing about this truck is the former owner had a Huckster Business that was located one block away from where I was born and raised. The company had four of these trucks to deliver around our home town. This truck might even be the truck that my mother bought her fruit and vegetables from.
This is a long wheel base truck. The added length gave the Huckster space to display his produce and other sale items and enough room for the customer to move around and do her shopping.
The top two pictures show the exterior of this truck. It needs a complete restoration but by looking at the top left picture you can see the body length is stretched out to make a longer wheel base.
The bottom two pictures show two different truck steering wheel assembly areas. The one on the left is for this truck and shows the gearshift with the throttle on the lever and the right side unit shows the gear shift on the column and the throttle is on the floor for the 1949 Model Deliveral. In my opinion, the one on the left is easier to drive.
