1955 Chevy Bel-Air Hard Top
2 Door Hardtop
This is an eye catching red-orange bottom and cream-colored top sporty-looking Chevy. It was completely refurbished in 1990 and sold at the Annual Hershey Show Car Corral to a man in Lancaster County. He decided to sell it at a fund raiser. I was out of town on a bus trip but my wife went to the Auction and bid on the car for me. I was listening on the cell phone to verify how the bidding was going. Peg was the top bidder for the car and the people later on were talking about this lady that bought that sporty car.
I bought the car because it was a charity event but also because it’s like the 1955 Chevy Belair that I beat three times in a drag race with my 1954 Ford back in 1956. So since I didn’t get a prize for winning the drag race against the 1955 Chevy, this 1955 Chevy is my Trophy to remember that winning and eventful Friday evening.
